Description

The wrap-around cover, with magnetic seals, the wonderful sepia-style pages, filled with bloodstains and murder weapons, and an abundance of photographs and drawings of the events from the time that they actually happened.

This book is a great little reference for people who know little about Jack the Ripper all the way through those who are familiar with it. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. All in all it was very comprehensive and detailed and definitely a book anyone passionate about criminology should have in their library. According to contemporary news, Barnett repeated his last words spoken by his interlocutor at his interrogation.I went to primary school in the early 1980s and joined-up writing had stopped being taught way back then (at least in England), so, even though I’m 43 years old and reasonably widely read, most of the police documents were indecipherable to me. His eldest son Denis assumed responsibility as head of the family, until he married Mary Ann Garrett and moved to Bermondsey, on the other side of the river Thames. The book had photographs from the time the crimes occurred to give an idea of what the area was like, but also had morgue shots from some of the victims which didn't feel right that they were included. This Casebook is an invaluable survey of the killer, his times and the web of complex and contradictory theories that have sprung up in his wake.

Even though contemporary investigators did not suspect this individual to be guilty of murder, in more recent times he has been accused of being the sordid killer by more than one scholar. Als deutschsprachiger Mensch aber Ripper-Interessierter muss man bald auf englische Werke zurückgreifen, da für viele Werke zu diesem Thema keine deutsche Ausgabe angeboten wird. As promised, the book never tries to draw its own conclusions, but presents the facts of the case as is from a balanced viewpoint. If you cannot find him walking the streets or in a London pub, he is probably playing drums with his band PARIAHLORD, who have just released their first full length-album. Years later, in a book published in 1995 with the title " Jack the Ripper: The Simple Truth", the same author revived the theory by adding new speculation to endorse the candidacy of the fish porter from Billingsgate Fish Market.
