The dedicated LEVEL, ENHANCE, RATIO and THRESHOLD controls provide easy and intuitive sound shaping. The Behringer BLE100 Bass Limiter Enhancer gives your playing a smooth finishing touch and eliminates rough volume peaks. It's actually very similar to the Berhringer, which I guess was to be expected given that the Behringer is a LMB-3 clone. Music Tribe with respect to the Software shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Music Tribe. This pedal has a small amount of his when you roll the enhance knob past 75%, or the ratio knob to infinite.

The take away from that for me (and I hope I have drawn the correct conclusion from this, although I’ll readily admit to still being a novice in my grasp of the technicalities of Limiters) is that the Keeley has a LOT more headroom in its ability to deal with signal spikes than the very much cheaper Behringer and this is a case in point where quality (easily) won the day.The Ratio knob controls the amount of compression while the Thresh knob controls when you want the compressor to kick in. The exception on secound to last was made to pump-up a T-Rex pedal with lower output and no level control. Turned up, you're boosting treble - around what frequencies I'm not sure, but it didn't have much effect on guitar, so I'm guessing it's in the bass guitar treble range. The dials on the Behringer are exactly the same as the Boss LMB-3 on which it is based (and which I am looking forward to putting through its paces, when it arrives later this week) with Threshold going "min to max" clockwise; and the similarly on the Keeley they go from -60 to +10 (i.

And these are easily tweaked to take the pop out of bass slaps, take the attack off of keys a bit, or just even out tone. In addition there was a bit of distortion/dirt/noise introduced into the signal at maximum compression which was unwelcome. I ended up running all of the knobs at maximum just for the heck of it and ended up really digging it. Even the best bass players find inconsistencies within their sound when switching up their playing styles. I just put the Limiter on my MS-60B through its paces, I now understand why you thought the Beheringer threshold control were backwards - it's certainly the opposite way around the Zoom which has maximum limiting when the Threshold is also set to maximum.
