Discover more of their greatest comicbook tales as the Doctor clashes with these cold-hearted killing machines and their equally merciless creator, Davros! Peter is a regular contributor to Blogtor Who and has also written for Doctor Who Magazine's Cosplay feature. UPDATE: Artist Lee Sullivan has stepped up to the plate, as ever, and is helping Panini fill some art gaps!

No – these collections only feature the Dalek strips from Doctor Who Magazine in its various regenerations. For the second volume, there’s a couple of strips we haven’t yet digitised,” editor Ed Hammond tells downthetubes, “and we want to spread the word among art collectors to see if anyone still has the original artwork which we could possibly scan.It says a Peter cushing story is included and as this covers the period up to children of the Revolution then it is presumably daleks vs the martians that is in this one. Interesting thought; what do we think is going to happen with the DWM strip if Ncuti really doesn’t appear until 2024?

Registered office address: Unit 34 Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EF. Dave, I think there is enough for a second Jodie book – it would likely include The Piggybackers (4 parts/32pp), The White Dragon (4 parts/32 pp), The Forest Bride (2 parts/12pp), It’s Behind You! I’m guessing the Peter Cushing story is the comic adaptation of the Doctor Who And The Daleks movie that came out from Dell Comics, I think it was? Does anyone know why the back-up strips from Doctor Who Weekly and the early monthlies have never been collected into volumes? It was something like 1994 when they printed it and the deal will have been either for a single printing or for a limited time period which will have lapsed by now. He lives in Ireland with a wife who's remarkably understanding of being dragged across to the UK to take photos of him outside police boxes and a son who was plonked down in front of "Rose" at eight months old and hasn't looked back since. DWM editor Marcus Hearn has previously said that he’d love to do collections of pre-DWM strips, from TV Comic, Countdown, and TV Action; but these are dependent on sourcing artwork known to have survived, if possible, as well as scans from good quality issues of the titles. The current business method for many firms seems get dividends out as much as can right now, screw workers to make the dividends, build firm with debt and as little investment as can, and who cares about tomorrow we’ll have left the country for our holiday homes.

For long term doctor who comic strip collectors this first volume of dalek tales may seem a bit superfluous. Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB.

For the second volume, there’s a couple of strips we haven’t yet digitised and wondered if you might be able to spread the word among art collectors to see if anyone still has the original artwork which we could possibly scan? Do they have enough material for the next Jodie book, given the strip-less days in lockdown and the reduced page count? Collected together for the first time, Panini Comics proudly presents the first volume of Dalek stories taken from Doctor Who Magazine 's comic strips, including the early Weeklies. This says the ultimate collection so I think it will feature all of the dalek strips from issue 1 to the present day. When people realize this as we now face tough economic times firms will struggle more than they realize yet.

Other potential material is the dalek one page strips that continued the 60’s dalek strip and the latest cushing strip but I’m not sure if they will be included. The page count is not really an indication as they are often bigger but at 164 pages this just feature a fair amount of material.

The first volume of Dalek stories taken from Doctor Who Magazine’s 40 years of award-winning comic strip will be published in October, and the second in December – and the editorial team are currently trying to track down original art from two stories for this follow-up collection. The 172 page Daleks: The Ultimate Comic Strip Adventures Volume 2 features tales of the Second, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Doctors from the pages of Doctor Who Magazine. With the magazine’s focus on the show’s past rather than present, I can see them doing a run of past Doctor strips for the 60th anniversary as an interim.
